I had never thought much about bankruptcy law, but after graduating from law school, I moved to Chicago. My first job as an attorney was with a law firm that specialized in bankruptcy. Within a few years, I went from being the youngest attorney in the firm to a managing attorney. During my time there, the firm grew from three lawyers to more than 300 employees and became one of the largest bankruptcy firms in the United States.

We regularly worked with clients who were scared, exhausted, and frustrated to find solutions that could help them get their lives back. Bankruptcy law, I soon realized, was my calling: If you really want to make a difference in people's lives, guide them through one of the most complicated situations they'll ever face and get them to the other side.

I moved to Atlanta with that big law firm but harbored dreams of setting up my own practice where I could take a more personal, hands-on approach to bankruptcy law. When that dream started becoming a reality, I also decided to stay and make Atlanta my forever home. I love the milder winters here, as well as the laid-back people and all the fun things to do. When I'm not at work or spending time at home with my family, you'll find me exploring the city's vibrant restaurant scene and unique neighborhoods.
